Countertext

countertext map front coverdigital:works trustee David Rogers and Joe Stevens, a digital:works member are exhibiting work at Countertext.

Countertext is a collection of multimedia installations and events that will include sculpture, sound, video, and performances that will be happening from Friday 7 November to Monday 10 November, across 18 venues in Bridport, West Bay and Beaminster.

This is a fantastic new cultural event for the South West region.

Joe is exhibiting a sound work, “with the window wide open”, in Bridport Old Books. This work aims to evoke memories of a particular time and place, using field recordings along with treated sounds.”

Countertext is a complementary to the Bridport Literary Prize and an opportunity to extend the language of the visual arts in relation to the written and spoken word.

    ‘Writer’s Block’ was a fabulous interlude on a Saturday morning mooch around town.
