We have been successful in our Lottery bid to make a documentary film working with residents of the Alexandra and Ainsworth Estate (Rowley Way), a large housing estate in Camden. This imposing modernist estate is Grade II* listed and features frequently on film, television and in print. Essentially, the film will be an exploration and expression of residents’ own views about where they live and the intergenerational group who make it will interview the architect who designed the estate in the 1960s as well as fellow residents, architects, planners and film makers. The final film will be shown at a local cinema.

Working with digital works a group of young people who have been homeless in Weymouth & Portland have committed their experiences to film.

Young people dramatise their experience of homelessness. Too many people don’t realise that youth homeless exists, or think we have chosen to leave home, when the reality isn’t that clear-cut. A lot of people assume that only adults can be homeless, and that everyone on the streets has a drug or drink problem.

They wish to give other young people something to think about before leaving home. Along with some pointers to where they can get help.
